It's almost time for one of the funniest vacations of the year: Spring Break. With a little planning, you can choose a fun adventure that fills your vacation with emotions and memories to last a lifetime. Vegas is the ideal destination for spring break, and when you're there, you can take a trip to the Grand Canyon and see its splendors from above on an airplane tour.

On the two main tires

Some of the plane tours from Las Vegas go to the West Rim. Touring the South Rim is also an option, all you have to do is fly to Tusayan in Arizona to start the tour. It would take hours to get to the South Rim from Las Vegas, but you can fly there in about an hour.

South Rim is the best destination if you are interested in seeing the beautiful scenes of nature in the desert and do not want to fight against many crowds. A great thing about the South Rim plane tour is that you can upgrade it to include a bus tour of the National Park. You will be able to see many interesting places during the 2.5 hours allotted for the overland tour. The tour comes with a pick-up and drop-off service at your hotel, and in total, it takes approximately ten hours to complete. You'll also have plenty of time to explore on your own, especially in the local resort town where you can shop for crafts, souvenirs, and snacks.

If that's not enough fun and excitement, you can further upgrade the tour to include a helicopter flight over the edge. You can travel by helicopter and fly to the North Rim and return. There is also a longer fifty-minute walk that stretches to the eastern edge of the park. You'll see a lot on the longest haul because it flies over roughly 75 percent of the entire National Park. You can even see the Dragoon corridor. It is famous for being the deepest and widest part of the Canyon.

If you'd rather take a tour closer to Las Vegas, then West Rim is a better option. It only takes about 30 minutes to fly from Las Vegas instead of an hour.

Touring the West Rim

The West Rim Airplane Tour allows you approximately 2.5 hours to explore the trails and scenic viewpoints on foot. There are plenty of hiking trails, so you'll find something that matches your fitness level, however, make sure to wear appropriate shoes and clothing for the weather conditions. The Glass Skywalk is the West Rim's most famous vantage point because it extends beyond the edge of the Canyon's rock wall. You will be able to peer through a clear floor to the bottom of the Canyon, 4000 feet below you, for one of the most spectacular views imaginable, plus you can get a professional photo of your experience as a memento of the exciting experience.

Helicopter flights are also available at West Rim. Look for the flight that comes with a descent to the Canyon floor where you can land alongside the Colorado River. This allows you to further update your tour to include a float along the picturesque river.

Secure your seats early!

You'll be busy in the Canyon for spring break, so buy your tour early so it doesn't run out. Please try to reserve your seats at least two weeks before your tour date. Simply use your credit card to purchase your tour online and you can purchase it as soon as you like, plus you will also find the lowest prices online.
